About Outfields

Hi, I’m Clayton Winter, the owner of Outfields Digital Solutions. Every business needs technology, but not every business has the time or knowledge to get all these systems working together smoothly. I left my communications job at a tech company to connect small businesses with the digital solutions they need. 

Formally we are Outfields Digital Solutions, but our friends call us Outfields. Why Outfields? We took the name because when an idea comes out of the left field, it’s usually a good idea. Outfields plays off of that since we don’t do things the traditional way. If you’ve worked with an IT company before, you’re in for a real treat working with us. If you’ve worked with a web developer before, we tend to say yes where people have said ‘no that’s not possible.’ 

We don’t believe in being the biggest or the flashiest, we believe in just giving people what they need. Honesty and good service.

Outfields Digital Solutions is for the”mom ‘n pop shops,’ the local restaurants, the family-run retailers, and all the other small businesses that rely on the web to connect and communicate with their customers. We provide honest, reliable service and personalized products that address our clients’ digital needs in a language they understand.

How We are Different

Our clients are typically lean teams that need to have everything from POS systems to online ordering forms working in alignment. We meet them where they are to provide fully-customized services, efficient work, and seamless integrations that do exactly what our customers need them to do.

Philosophy & Approach

We believe in helping small companies compete in the digital economy. We want them to reach their target audience using websites that strategically support their business, and I want to help them use web technologies to accomplish their business goals. When their customers decide where to buy, we want their customers to choose them because they provide the best customer experience. 

We teach people about web technology and coach them to use web technology better in their business so they can strategize more effectively for the future and keep everything in alignment. We listen and learn about each person’s business before we make recommendations for improvement. We do it this way because we believe the world belongs to all of us, even the little guys. We are showing small business owners how to use tools they can use in their businesses to reach their full potential in the market.

Hi! I’m Clayton Winter — after years of freelancing, dozens of successful projects, and hundreds of inquiries from clients, I decided to go full-time into web design and development.

In 2021, I launched outfields.ca in an effort to serve more clients and execute larger projects without sacrificing the expertise of my clients’ value and the personal attention they’ve come to expect.

You’ll work directly with my small, hand-picked team of experts and me to make sure your project is executed on time, on budget, and with world-class quality.

I partner with our clients remotely, or in person where I can, and expand our team as needed to bring their projects to life.
