Project Overview

Dawna and Barry approached us to re-design and re-develop their website. They worked with someone previously would developed a very nice site using Squarespace, but it had several limitations and lacked a focus on selling the Riding Mountain House experience. The owners wanted to include online booking on their site in a way that’s easy to manage and to build on over time. They grew traffic to their site and noticed it was becoming harder and harder to keep up with communicating with their customers. The booking system we installed allowed Riding Mountain House to accept online bookings, process payments, and send out automated emails. The design for their site communicated that Riding Mountain House is an established brand. The UI/UX design we provided made it easy for customers to navigate the site and make purchases.

Project Goal

Online booking was the main priority for Riding Mountain House. The second goal for the site was to streamline communication with their customers.

Project Strategy

We identified several key strategic shifts and executional improvements to help dramatically improve the the user experience for Riding Mountain House visitors.

This included:

  • Installing SMTP so emails are delivered to the customers and make it to the inbox of the customer, instead of marked as spam.
  • Creating a ‘Book Now’ button that allowed customers to select a room and date, then show them results that are available and bookable
  • Take payments online and offline
  • Easily manage bookings
  • Send out automatic emails when a customer makes a booking
  • Be able to build on in the future so the owners of Riding Mountain House are able to add packages or additional services.

Clayton had the vision to bring our website to life. He listened to our ideas, created an interactive mock-up site and then made the changes we asked for. In the end, it is perfect and just what we wanted. The website itself is very eye-catching and is an efficient marketing tool for our business. Taking online bookings could not be easier and saves us a lot of time, so we can now focus on providing great guest experiences.
